Elections (Barry Kaminsky)
- Petitioning period ends at midnight (in Barry’s box or hands)
- No petitions for environmental studies rep or student defender
- Campaigning starts at midnight, and ends a week from today
- 50 A4 flyers 
- Encourages crazy/creative campaigning
- from about 9 to 6 will be the actual elections, next Thursday
- Watch out for the election dinosaur

Cup Cake Explosion (Melissa)
- Cupcake making party in Dort and Goldstein lounges
- To help candidates campaign
- Dortstein block party after

- Int. Studies rep for CAA
- Changes to Int. and Areas Studies

Common Spaces (Donita Pace)
-  Some common-common, some semi-common
- Most located along Palm Promenade
- 5 or 6 common-common spaces, temporary labeling in cafeteria layouts
- requesting input from students
- asks for people to be realistic
- Donita points out res life committee members present
- Matt Felsen: Can we have a room with lots of fans and just money floating around?
- Donita: Ask your Res Life committee reps and see if they’ll bring it to the meeting

- Community member expressed that students  look both ways before crossing cross-walk
- Still trying to make it a more visible cross-walk like at Ringling (flashing lights, etc)

Fee Committee
- Recommendations for a Fee increase
- NCSA in a deficit
- Motion for a 5% increase in student fees called by Isaac, seconded
- Discussion
- Motion passes

Sarasota Film Festival (Holly an alum)
- Holly programs films at film festival
- Starts this Friday
- Runs till 22nd April
- 200 Movies
- $7 student discount
- Encourages us to come to young film makers competition
- Plugs Of Montreal
- “If you can show a document saying you’re 21, you should be able to get in.” New Florida Law Passed
- Encourages people interested in film studies to come
- 1.30 – 3.00 metro café Q&A on film festival this weekend

Calder
- Worked very hard to bring Betty Bigombe to speak
- Plugs speaker
- In conjunction with the film war dance
- 20 Free tickets for war dance
- Betty Bigombe Friday 3.30 at the Four Winds

Art Fest (Raul)
- Dort 204 if you want to help volunteer
- Friday is set up 7pm till 1 0r 2am
- Possibly can put art in show on Friday
- Saturday: Raffle for SWAZIAID, art/plasma TVs/a day with a golf cart etc.
- Music, food , art

New College Students for New Urbanism (David Banks)
- started last week
- want to do documentaries such as “True Stories”
- Tours of downtown or campus
- Poster in Ham
- Wednesday 7pm Ham couches
- really exciting and fun
- for people who don’t like surburbia or who like new urbanism

Amocaly (James Birmingham)
- Rally against MacDonald’s changed to Burger King in Chicago
- McDonald’s agreed to pay 1c more for every pound of tomatoes
- Info shop may be moving to the Four Winds

Student Appointed Professors(Justin Boner)
- Tomorrow there will be an info meeting to talk about student appointed professors, 6pm Fishbowl

Housing Updates (Donita Pace)
- Towne meeting is so powerful that after the last one Konie Kruscek gave birth
- Talks about baby Luka
- Konnie will be coming in tomorrow, she cut all her hair off
- Friday is the room draw #1
- Only 1/10 have been picked up, we are very procrastinative
- Thank you to people, 40 hrs worth of work Thank You
- Announces new RAs
- 21 new RAs

Smores and More (Gwen)
- Martial Arts, Acting II, etc
- Hot dogs and smores ect
- Come out Saturday night
